Jake and I were very lucky to be able to get away for our anniversary this year. We weren't able to go last week on our actual anniversary because Jake had training for his new job but luckily he got the time off so we could go this week.
We stayed at the Anniversary Inn for 2 nights. The first night we were in Hawaiian Hideaway and the second night we were in Phantom of the Opera. Both rooms were very nice and the themed rooms are a very fun idea. We enjoyed breakfast in bed, although it was better the second day because we got to exchange our cinnamon roll (yuck!) for another ham & swiss croissant.
We ate out, watched movies, went shopping, bowling, and had some fun adventures hunting for fudge. (We never did find it...) I finally got to fulfill my dream of eating at The Roof Restaurant at Temple Square and we sat and watched the sunset over an absolutely amazing dinner.
My sweet mother watched Abrielle for us while we were gone and we are so grateful for the time we got away. It was a fantastic time to relax, spend time together, and escape the demands of life.
