Because Moving Wasn't Enough Craziness

I guess we must like our lives being in disorganized uproar. After finally digging our way out from under the pile of all of our moving boxes we decided that NOT having a dishwasher wasn't a very good life plan with kids... So... we ripped apart our kitchen.

Besides installing a dishwasher we are adding another base cabinet to give us some extra counter space (which we bought in basic wood and I stained ebony to match our other cabinets), we are redoing all of the counter tops, we are replacing the sink, and getting a new faucet. *PHEW!*

Here is the "BEFORE" picture. The counters were mostly white with a 70s flower pattern on them. And the sink was white also. Who thought it was a good idea to make white sinks? Do you know how fast and how easily they get dirty and look bad? YUCK! Besides the fact that it was chipped and rusting in places, and the faucet has no squirter. Not the ideal wife/mom kitchen! Where the brown cabinet is now is where the dishwasher and new base cabinet are going. Pretty exciting stuff!
