Merry Christmas

This has been a busy year for us full of lots of excitement, challenges and changes. We are grateful for every day that we have together and for the love that we share.

Jake (27) is currently working for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He works with the Distribution services and has been absolutely slammed this holiday season with people placing all kinds of orders for Christmas. He also has taken a lot of calls about the new youth curriculum. He finished his Associates of Business at Salt Lake Community College this spring and has since been accepted to the University of Utah to continue his education; however, he is taking a much needed break from school right now and loving every minute of it. He went on a quest to lose weight this year and lost 32 pounds between April and December! He is still the Ward Mission Leader and loves being a husband and father.

Shayla (24) is still teaching piano five days of the week. She also decided to really pursue a couple of dreams this year and got into running and back into school. She raced in a 5k and 10k race this summer and is registered for the Salt Lake City half marathon in April of 2013. She is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree at Salt Lake Community in the Fitness Technician:Personal Trainer program. She would like to eventually be a personal trainer and a group exercise instructor. She got a gym membership to Gold's gym in October 2012 and attends 5:30 am classes at the gym - despite the early hour she absolutely loves the classes and is learning a lot of great information that will help her in her future career. She loves attending school and is very grateful for flexible family members that help her make her dreams a reality. She is currently the Gospel Doctrine Teacher (1 of 3) and loves it. She adores her gorgeous husband and beautiful children.

Abrielle (3) started attending Mrs. Donna's preschool early this year and couldn't be happier. She loves preschool and would go every single day if she could. She loves animals, especially horses, and likes to imitate them as much as possible. She got a Nabi 2 after Black Friday and is having a lot of fun playing puzzle games and learning her letters, numbers and shapes. She will start attending Primary at the end of the year - Mommy and Daddy can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Nathan (1) continues to be the happiest child on the planet. He loves giving kisses but usually insists that they are on the lips - only a problem when he also sticks his tongue out! He is still Mommy's Cuddle Bug and has strawberry blonde curly hair which mommy refuses to cut in case the curls disappear. He is getting better and better with his language skills and can say a bunch of things - his favorites being DA, cars and shoes. He will "officially" go to nursery at the turn of the year but has been attending for several weeks now while his sister can help make him feel comfortable.
