There is so much to tell I don't know how much I will cover. We had the absolute privilege of having Jake's brother, Robert, his wife, Bridget, and their daughter, Breena, to come stay with us throughout the holidays. It was so much fun to have them and we did so many wonderfully fun things with them and Jake's family. These things include: Christmas Eve brunch, Sibling present exchange, Christmas dinner at Aunt Malinda's & Uncle Ty's, family pictures, Red Robin $5 cheeseburgers and endless fries, endowment session at the Jordan River Temple, huge adult date and game night, church at Jake's old ward, family night with Robert's lesson on service, New Year's eve snacks and celebration, New Year's morning breakfast, and one final dinner to Mi Ranchito with games afterwards. Between all of that we visited, played lots of games, and just had a blast!
My mom and brother, Kayden, left for the US Chess school in Atlanta, Georgia the day after Christmas so we didn't see my family a whole lot. But we had a great time with them on Christmas Eve watching Harry Potter in a huge home theater, going to dinner at Red Robin with both sets of Grandparents, doing our Sibling present exchange and traditional reading of the Luke 2 story, HUGE Christmas breakfast, stockings, and lunch and presents at Grandma & Grandpa Troff's house. What a fun and busy holiday it was!
I think the overall sad theme for the holidays was the fact that we don't know when we will see Robert's family again. It was so wonderful to see them for so many days (they live in Mesa, AZ). Robert has applied to the Parker Chiropractic School in Dallas, Texas. If he gets accepted they will be moving at the end of this coming April. Texas is quite a ways a way and so we aren't sure if we will get to see them for the holidays until he is finished with school... We are just very grateful for the time we got with them and for the small chance that Abrielle had to get to know her cousin.

We are grateful for so many wonderful blessings and for this special time of year when we get to remember how lucky we really are. Hopefully the lessons stick throughout the year.
