In August we....
...discovered how much one little boy can love moving vehicles.
...ate lots of chocolate.
...took some rides just for the fun of it.
....spent time to remember what is most important in this life.
....supported family and their artistic pursuits.
....changed up our look a little.
...were excited to go back to school. Mostly.
....played lots of ball.
...stopped to smell the flowers.
....made sure our produce got daily exercise.
....pretended that we were large sea creatures.
....enjoyed the fresh air with "Candy."
....baked delicious goodies.
....ate delicious goodies at "Papa's Picnic."
....took our medicine with a spoonful of sugar.
...shopped for the best stuff.
....remembered to be a little more spunky and spontaneous.
....made sure to stay well hydrated. And made sure the floor did as well.
....had some days we just needed to cry.
....saw the world through the eyes of a child.
....spent time with loving friends and good food.
....aged a little faster as we took on projects much beyond our general knowledge.
...grew up a little more.
...conducted scientific experimentation in the name of deliciousness and time with family.
....ate more chocolate.
....pretended that we were bunnies.
....expanded our knowledge a little more.
....stayed close to each other.
....remembered to laugh at ourselves.
....enjoyed the majesty all around us.
....celebrated momentous occasions with family.
...hugged our best friends a little tighter.
....spent hours visiting the past.
....mourned the passing of a family friend with one of the world's best families.
...miraculously saw our biggest home improvement project from start to finish. Or... almost finished.
What an incredible month August was! I can't wait to see what September has in store.
Love, Shayla
